The Bible and Ancient Aliens: Are Angels Visitors from the Sky?

Mount Sinai, 40 days in the desert. Moses climbs the mountain alone, eats and drinks nothing, and comes back with a face so bright that the Israelites cannot look straight at him. Exodus says he veils his face after speaking with God. For the religious reading, the change shows divine glory. For the ancient-astronaut reading, the same detail describes contact that the people of that age had no technical language to name.

The details are what make the account stand out. Moses leaves the crowd, stays on the mountain exactly forty days, and returns with a changed body and ten commandments. The same texts describe the Ark of the Covenant, a chest built to exact dimensions, carried on poles, guarded by rules, and said to kill a man who touched it. Centuries later, Ezekiel describes a cloud of fire, glowing metal, four multi-faced creatures, and interlocking wheels able to move straight in any direction.
