Visoko: The Bosnian Hill Told as a Pyramid Buried Under Earth

In spring 2005, Semir Osmanagić stood before Visočica hill near the town of Visoko in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. The hill rises more than 200 meters and, from a distance, shows four slopes that resemble the sides of a pyramid. The ruins of the medieval town of Visoki stand on its summit. Osmanagić did not see a natural hill. He named it the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun and said that soil, trees and centuries of accumulation had hidden a man-made structure older than familiar European history.
